How Food Solutions works

Four connected areas.
One practical approach.

Start with a specific need or bring the elements together: supplier insight, managed trade, responsible sourcing and data that supports better decisions.

01 / SUPPLIER INTELLIGENCE

Curated supplier database

Match a buyer’s brief with supplier capabilities, organised by product, origin, production method, certification, welfare considerations and capacity.

Help smaller producers make their capabilities visible to buyers and shape products around market needs, so quality and differentiation can command better value.

02 / SOURCING & LOGISTICS

From origin to buyer

Coordinate sourcing, quality checks, cold-chain freight, customs documentation and relevant health or catch certificates.

Use consolidated orders and practical delivery options to help smaller suppliers overcome barriers to export, while protecting product integrity and meeting buyer requirements.

03 / CSR, CERTIFICATION & ESG

Responsible sourcing, supported by evidence

Help suppliers prepare for relevant certification and accreditation requirements, and help buyers assess the evidence behind supplier claims.

Connect corporate social responsibility with environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities, turning expectations into practical improvement plans.

04 / PLATFORM & DATA

Better information. Better decisions.

Structure supplier and product information so buyers can search, compare and assess options with greater clarity.

AoUmi Food Solutions / Trade & logistics

Good food needs
good connections.

A route to market should work for smaller producers too. Coordinated logistics connects their products with buyers and consumers, helping turn quality at origin into commercial value.

04 / Our geography

Two regions.
A shared opportunity.

Connecting Asian producers with European consumers. Helping smaller suppliers access the right buyers, meet market expectations and capture more value from what they produce.

A

Asia

The source of distinctive food, ingredients and production expertise. Helping smaller suppliers develop market-ready products and retain more value at origin.

An initial focus on Southeast Asia and India

E

Europe

The consumer markets we aim to serve. Connecting suppliers with retail, foodservice and manufacturing buyers through an understanding of consumer tastes, formats and price expectations. Helping suppliers navigate complex regulations and buyers’ CSR requirements is central to building a credible route to market.

Consumer demand across the UK and Europe

05 / Our approach

Conviction, grounded
in the detail.

A compelling idea needs a credible route to execution. We look at how a business works, who it serves and what it takes to grow.

Commercial understanding

Start with the customer. Understand specifications, pricing, margins and the reasons a buyer chooses one product over another.

Operational discipline

Connect the ambition to the day-to-day realities of quality, logistics, working capital and reliable delivery.

Responsible growth

Consider provenance and transparency early, and build the processes that help businesses earn trust as they grow.

Intelligent execution

Use technology where it improves decisions and reduces repetitive work, keeping commercial judgement at the centre.
